About Siltech

A brief review.....

In February 1982 WESTOMED was launched. It was started in a part of an old disused milk factory in Westerbork, Drenthe. The intended purpose was the production of disposable plastic systems for Dutch hospitals under 'clean room' conditions, wherein you can think of flexible PVC medical tube systems for rinsing, draining and suctioning out during operations and various other procedures. At that time, more and more of our PVC systems had to be equipped with a silicone-pump unit, needed for different types of key-hole surgery that were being increasingly applied. Because of this, we started supplying more and more flexible silicone tubes in various sizes to both hospitals and industries. Due to the rapid growth in sales of these and other silicone products, in 1991 it was decided to divest the clean room production, and to specialize in silicone rubber with the objective of offering silicon rubber of indisputable quality as well as providing our customers with the ultimate in service. That's when we became WESTOMED SILTECH.

Since then, we have developed into a representative of high quality medical & technical silicone products, which we now supply to a wide range of companies at home and abroad.
In 2010, Hans de Jonge's two sons came on board in order to gradually take over the business. The company modernized with a lot of enthusiasm and commitment. In 2011 a name change was again put through and we moved to larger premises in Meppel, this time under the name:
"SILTECH Silicon rubber technology".

Developments have not stopped and here also, SILTECH continues to demonstrate its dynamism and professionalism. Over the course of time, a significant number of high quality silicon products have been developed for a wide variety of applications.
