The construction sector is an extremely competitive sector where no punches are pulled when competing. In the cost calculation it is tempting to choose what appears to be the cheapest solution. However, competing purely on price is a self-destructive strategy. Builders with vision understand that the correct added value often provides the deciding factor. Silicone products are ideally suited for window or door seals, profiles, frames and prefabricated building elements. Silicon profiles operate as vibration dampers, as insulation, are fire resistant, temperature resistant and are available in many colours. In addition, our silicone profiles are ideally suited for securing individual U-profiles. Siltech’s silicon profiles can be customized vulcanized to windows/frames whereby bonding the profiles together yourself, with which the connection always remains vulnerable, belongs to the past.

Silicone seals are also increasingly used in curtain wall construction. An extremely sustainable solution that has been used in Germany for years. This innovative technology is still being developed in the Netherlands. Look at the modern office curtain walls and glass roofs: using silicone profiles and/or seals, the thin aluminium or stainless steel profiles are directly connected to the glass. Siliconen cords in almost all RAL colours from 20° to 80° Shore A other hardnesses are also possible LSR Liquid Silicone Rubber for complex moulded parts and for large batch production using the latest machines; for this, a drawing in STEP/3D format is necessary (Injection Moulding)
Good to know:
For one of the tallest buildings in Hong Kong, the almost entirely glass facade of the Bank of China’s modern headquarters, the same seals are used that we have in-house! Seals are used for landing lights placed along runways at airports.
In the past year Siltech has been able to develop silicone in a particularly attractive aluminium colour!
